The Anniston Star editorial board never ceases to amaze me with its rants. Gov. Robert Bentley and Republicans need to be punished? The Democrats ran the state into the ground while they were in charge for 126 years; they borrowed money from the same Trust Fund that The Star now says will hurt the poor.
Alabama has the largest public bankruptcy in the history of the United States and Democrat and former Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford is in prison, as is former Gov. Don Seigelman, also a Democrat. The Trust Fund is supposed to help the state out in hard times. Guess what? Hard times are here. Maybe The Star should report the truth. Do your job.
