The Anniston restaurant was robbed around 6:40 p.m. Friday by a man wearing jeans, a t-shirt and a rag covering the bottom half of his face, investigators said.
Witnesses estimated the man to be in his mid-20s and said he carried a handgun, Lt. Fred Forsythe said.
The man used the gun to threaten restaurant employees and demand an undisclosed amount of money from them, according to a police report.
Forsythe said the suspect left with the money, and no employees were injured.
Investigators Monday were searching for the man, who they described as a 6-foot-3 black male weighing between 150 and 160 pounds.
