I heard the political spins saying, “We want our country back,” “Our nation is in moral decline,” “Our nation will suffer the wrath of God because of same-sex marriage,” “Obama is destroying this nation,” and “The Affordable Care Act is socialized medicine.”

I thought the 2012 presidential election would have eliminated those comments. Evidently, Republicans can’t get over the election results, just as did the Democrats in the 2000 presidential election.

Elections have consequences and the majority of Republican lawmakers who were re-elected to the U.S. House of Representatives will continue their base’s anger and hatred toward President Obama, especially with ACA.

What bothers me is the ongoing contention of Christians attacking Christians over certain issues. Such strife is a reproach to the Gospel of Christ. I understand why non-Christians with their flaws, too, are saying, “Look, these so-called Christians really hate each other.”

The Pew Research Center has reported that 90 percent of the members in the 113th Congress are Christians (representing many denominations). These Christians are the nation’s dissemblers and troublers who think their duty is bringing everyone into their likeness of divine truth.

As there is variety among plants, trees, flowers, birds and animals in the natural environment for everybody’s delight, so in the human sphere there is much room in our diverse society for varied ideas and personalities from all people.
