Tide game suspended

STARKVILLE, Miss. — The game between No. 22 Alabama and Mississippi State was suspended in the top of the sixth inning with MSU leading 7-3 on Saturday.

The game will be completed today at noon as a nine-inning game, then the regularly scheduled game will be a seven-inning game and will be played 30 minutes following the conclusion of the suspended game.

The Bulldogs scored all seven runs in the first inning off UA lefty Del Howell.

Alabama took 2-0 lead in the top of the first on Ross Wilson's RBI double and senior right fielder Kent Matthes' RBI single.
