UDC holds 117th convention

The Alabama Division United Daughters of the Confederacy recently held its 117th convention at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel in Mobile. Member of the General William H. Forney Chapter 468 of Anniston in attendance included, front row: Helen Molan Johnson of Anniston and Penny la Taste of Rome, Ga.; back row: Sonja Murray Randle of Weaver, Joyce Miller La Taste of Oxford, Sherrell Daniel Clieno of Heflin, Ruth Warren Daniel of Heflin and Betty Fraser of Oxford. The chapter brought home several awards for its accomplishments during the year. The objectives of the United Daughters of the Confederacy are historical, education, benevolent, memorial and patriotic.
