The driver of a Ford Focus was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries following a two-car wreck at the corner of 15th Street and Quintard Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.

Michael Webb, an Anniston police investigator, said three people were involved in the crash.

Webb identified the injured driver as Shannon Hilderbrand, 41, of Anniston, and the other driver as Aldou Hall, 40, of Eastaboga. Hilderbrand also had a passenger, whom Webb identified as a 61-year-old woman, with her at the time of the accident.

Webb said Hilderbrand was taken to Regional Medical Center with minor injuries after the accident.

Webb said both vehicles were heading west down 15th Street when Hilderbrand, driving Ford Focus, stopped to make a left turn into the Rite-Aid on Quintard Avenue and Hall, driving the Chevrolet Caprice, hit her from behind.

Both Hall and Hilderbrand’s 61-year-old passenger were uninjured, and only minor damage was done to the cars, Webb said.
