Anniston police today were investigating a burglary in which $50,000 worth of copper wiring and other materials were stolen from the old Blue Mountain Industries building on Blue Mountain Avenue sometime within the past two months.

According to Anniston police Capt. Allen George, workers tearing down the building noticed the materials were missing, and they filed a police report on Oct. 21.

Aside from the wiring, there was $100,000 worth of damage done to the building, the police report said.

Any suspect could face felony charges of third-degree burglary, according to a police report.
