Alabama practice report: Sylve, Tenpenny sit out; Defensive end not spotted with group

TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama practiced in full pads on a beautiful day in Tuscaloosa. Here are some takeaways: --Defensive end LaMichael Fanning was not seen at practice. Fanning wasn't with the defensive end group during the media's viewing period, and according to Bamaonline, he wasn't at Monday's practice. Fanning didn't dress for the Arkansas game. Tide coach Nick Saban will speak to reporters following Wednesday's practice and will likely provide an update. --Cornerback Bradley Sylve (high ankle sprain) and true freshman running back Altee Tenpenny (turf toe) sat out of practice again today. Both wore black, non-contact jerseys. --With his left ankle heavily wrapped, Sylve worked off to the side with head athletic trainer Jeff Allen. He tried to run and backpedal, but was noticeably limping. Tenpenny rode the stationary bike. --True freshmen running backs Derrick Henry, Alvin Kamara and Tyren Jones continued to work on the scout team. Henry wore No. 20, which belongs to Tennessee running back Rajion Neal. Kamara and Jones wore No. 15, which belongs to Vols tailback Marlin Lane. --HaHa Clinton-Dix, Landon Collins and Jarrick Williams led the safety group. Up next: Select players will speak to reporters following practice.
