TUSCALOOSA -- LSU week is finally here and No. 1 Alabama began preparing for the Tigers on a chilly Monday.

Here are some takeaways:

--Cornerback Deion Belue (toe) looks like a full go during this week's practice. Belue has been limited during certain weeks, but this doesn't appear to be one of them.

--Cornerback Bradley Sylve (ankle) continues to increase his workload. Sylve is battling Cyrus Jones for the starting job opposite Belue.

--Defensive end LaMichael Fanning was not at practice. He remains suspended indefinitely.

--True freshmen quarterbacks Cooper Bateman and Parker McLeod are playing the role of LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger.

--True freshmen running backs Derrick Henry and Altee Tenpenny are playing the role of LSU running back Jeremy Hill. Tyren Jones is playing the role of LSU running back Terrence Magee.

--Alvin Kamara was not with the running backs during the media's viewing period.

--Some popular defensive scout team numbers: No. 6 (S Craig Loston), No. 9 (DT Ego Ferguson), No. 18 (LB Lamin Barrow), No. 25 (LB Kwon Alexander), No. 31 (LB D.J. Welter).
