TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama hit the practice field in full pads for its second day of work during the bye week.

Here are some takeaways:

--Cornerback Deion Belue (toe) was seen during the media's viewing period. Belue was in a regular defensive jersey. On Tuesday, Tide coach Nick Saban said Belue would be limited this week.

--Running back Jalston Fowler (concussion) was still in a black, non-contact jersey. Saban said Fowler is fine on Tuesday.

--Cornerback Bradley Sylve (ankle) continues to increase his workload. Sylve is still pretty gimpy, but is giving it his all during drills. Saban said Sylve is locked in a battle with Cyrus Jones for the starting corner spot opposite Belue.

--LaMichael Fanning was not at practice. He is still suspended indefinitely.

--Scouts from the Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers and others watched practice.
