Former principal faces sex charges

Former state Rep. James Thomas, accused of sexually abusing a female student at the school where he was principal, was bound over to a grand jury Tuesday.

Wilcox County District Judge Jo Celeste Pettway found sufficient evidence to send the case to the grand jury following a three-hour hearing.
