TUSCALOOSA -- I hope you didn't expect anything other than a dog fight between Alabama and LSU.

Here are some takeaways:

--Alabama's defense is having trouble stopping LSU. LSU is moving the ball at will, but two forced turnovers by Alabama has the Tide ahead.

--LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger is taking a lot of hits. None of the hits appear to be dirty, but he's been slow to get up on multiple occasions.

--Alabama's defense can't get off the field on third down.

--Kenyan Drake provided a nice spark for Alabama's offense. Once he came in, the Tide started moving the ball.

--O.J. Howard is a matchup nightmare and has great speed.

--Both teams have been able to sustain long offensive drives. This should be a fun shootout in the second half.

--Alabama's secondary is struggling a bit in coverage. LSU's offense is doing a lot of shifting and motioning before the snap and its creating some unfavorable match ups for the Tide.
