Three rescued from Weiss Lake
Three men, including a local veterinarian involved in a 2008 fire and shooting hoax at his clinic, were rescued early Sunday from Weiss Lake after their boat capsized.

The Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Cherokee EMS and Alabama Marine Police responded between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday to the scene in Cedar Bluff after calls were made to 911 from a waterproof cell phone.
