Walker County? I’ve been all over that county, in every school. It is a great place!
You are right. I am beginning to get a bit paranoid. The first boom for a fraction of a second I thought was thunder… then it occurred to me – nope – dumb idea. Then it was every few minutes. I grew up in another part of the state where coal mining/strip mining was the cash crop – and I swear they felt like mine blast from far away. They were so frequent yesterday it was a bit aggrevating. To top it off and make things a bit more humourous, when my husband and I build our ‘dream home’ we found this wonderful land for building, farming etc. It is country setting – very serene quiet. Perfect for someone that grew up in a town like Mayberry like me. We noticed the small race track on 21 and thought nothing of it: Until it became the expanded “TALLADEGA GRAND PRIX” ROFL! Now during warmer months no one around here can enjoy sitting on their decks on weekends. I am one that loves to open up windows in spring/ fall to ‘air out the house’ as my grandmother used to say. NOT here! Those darn cars, motorcycles sound like hyperactive bees on steroids. TOO noisy in the curve nearest my home . Now I am not right on top of the track either. People for MILES over say they have same LOUD issue. I am in hopes one of those low flying planes will just PLOW up that stupid track: as long as no one is hurt and the crew on the plane walk away safely!I can’t win, AHS 1960… LOL :-)
DTR, it sounds like you are living in a war zone down there in Munford. Are you in Munford, Iraq or Munford, AL?
Again, thouse loud booms are probably coming from Pelham Range where the National Guard practices shooting artillery.
What with the Guard flying over your house and shooting canons just to the north, you might want to consider relocating to a safe location, like Mexico.
Are they destroying nuclear war heads at Anniston today? This is happending quite frequently and the effects are felt even at my home just past Munford heading toward Talladega?? What’s up???
