Navy Airman Apprentice Samuel O. Armstrong, son of Ann Armstrong of Centre, and other sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), received more than 2,500 Operation Gratitude care packages at the all-hands call in the ship’s hangar bay.

Carolyn Blashek, founder of Operation Gratitude and Michael Reagan, son of former President Ronald Reagan attended the event. They, along with other Operation Gratitude members, took time to thank the crew for their service and recognized the success of the work done thus far.

Armstrong is a 2010 graduate of Cherokee County High School of Centre and joined the Navy in October 2010.
