Thanks to The Anniston Star’s coverage this summer of Hobson City’s 111th anniversary celebration. My grandfather, the Rev. George D. Wright, was one of the founding fathers. The city also paid honor to my late brother, Dr. Bobby Wright.
We moved from Hobson City in 1954. My early career was spent in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Department of Justice and the Peace Corps. However, the best years of my growing up were spent working in Anniston and Oxford and attending Calhoun County Training School in Hobson City.
