What a relief to read this story. Our region has lived for years with the Monsanto settlement and controversy in the way it was handled. I feel quite sure the majority of the public — especially those who were to share in the settlement — just want fairness. Hopefully, with the results of the impending audit we can have closure regardless of the outcome of the audit.
This case extracted a heavy toll on the community and the judicial systems — including the defeat of the judge of the case.
