Lindy Baird recently received the ‘Outstanding Intern” award in the Secondary Education Undergraduate program in general science for the fall semester 2011 at Jacksonville State University. She is the daughter of Scott and Allison Baird of Alexandria, granddaughter of Gary and Jane Gowens of Alexandria and James and Annette McDuffie of Gulf Shores. She is also the great-granddaughter of Louise Potts of Jacksonville. She is a 2006 graduate of Alexandria High School. She plans to graduate from JSU in December.
