The event was hosted by the couple’s parents, Henry and Fossie Chatman and their children, Erica Hearn and Rodney T. Oden.
Children and their spouses include Erica (Frankie) Hearn II, Okinawa, Japan and Rodney T. Oden of Oxford.
Grandchildren include Frankie Hearn III and Tyler Elijah Hearn, both of Okinawa, Japan.
The 25th wedding anniversary celebration consisted of a private wedding renewal of vows ceremony and Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends. The ceremony was performed by Pastor Marcus L. Dunn Sr. of Kingdom Place Ministries and coordinated by Mrs. Pamela Dunn of Kingdom Place Ministries. Special words of inspiration were given by the bride’s mother, Mrs. Fossie Chatman of Oxford. Mrs. Oden (bride) was escorted by her father, Mr. Henry Chatman of Oxford.
Other ceremony participants included Rodney T. Oden (son), Erica Hearn (daughter), Kasia Chatman (niece), Frankie “Tre” Hearn III (grandson), and Zion Brown (cousin).
Music was provided by soloist, Chante Chatman (bride’s sister); duet performed by Doug and Charmonique Young (bride’s uncle and aunt).
Mrs. Oden (bride) wore an ivory wedding gown made with organza fluffy tiers designed by DaDinci Bridal-wear from Add Ons Boutique of Oxford. Hair stylist was Doug Young, owner of Doug’s Unisex Salon. Bridal assistant was Anita Suttle (bride’s aunt). Photographer was Benita G. Duff. Anniversary wedding decorations were by Marilyn Stansil.
The couple attributes the sustained faithful 25 years together because of their spiritual commitment to God. The couple has faithfully served 15 years as members of The Bibleway Church of God of Anniston under the leadership of Pastor Henry Ward. Mrs. Oden has served as Sunday School teacher and program committee. Mr. Oden has served as deacon and oversees music and sound.
The couple was married on November 25, 1986, in Anniston.
