Over-the-Hill Gang donates to Piedmont schools

The Over-the-Hill Gang of White Plains recently presented the Piedmont City school system with a $750 donation. Members included, left to right, Donnie Ford, Billy Couch, coach Richard Madden, Stan Barnwell, Hugh McWhorter; principal of Piedmont Middle School, Matt Akin; superintendent Piedmont City schools, Floyd Amos and Norman Parker.

The donation was given in appreciation for contributions made by merchants in Piedmont of more than $2,400 in sign advertisement as well as Piedmont area golfer’s participation in the Over-the-Hill Gang’s last charity golf tournament held at Pine Hill Country Club in Choccolocco.
