ABA holds ABBY awards ceremony

The Alabama Broadcasters Association held the sixth annual ‘ABBY’ awards to recognize the best in Alabama broadcasting March 24 in Birmingham. Our local morning show, “The Steve and Julie Morning Show” on 97.9 WVOK won for the second year in row for the “Small Market Morning Show of the Year,” and Steve Stevens won the ABBY for “Best Personality in Broadcasting” for the state of Alabama. Stevens said he gives all the credit to God and the amazing listeners they have who listen to their show. Their show is based in Oxford and may be heard at 979WVOK FM and has listeners tuning in daily from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi and Florida and even England on their website at www.979WVOK.com.
