The sad and tragic situation of Trayvon Martin is one such case. Racism has increased in the last three years, especially since we have a biracial president. Black people have been stereotyped, demeaned and tossed to the side in society. We should be outraged by the injustice and inequality we endure, no matter the color of our skin. Some media and other groups suggest we should just roll with the punches.
Until we recognize that racism exists, we can’t begin to relate to other ethnicities. As a country, we can’t begin to move forward to become the leaders of the world.
