The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James E. Hawkins Jr., formerly of Mt. Zion, Ga., and Mrs. Hazel Moore of Carrollton, Ga., and the late Dr. W. Glenn Moore.
Miss Moore is a graduate of The University of Alabama and will receive a doctorate degree in developmental psychology in August.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. B. Franklin Bigham of Northport and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Channell, formerly of Buhl.
Mr. Channell is pursuing a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design from American Intercontinental University.
The wedding will be 6 p.m. July 27, 2012, at the North River Yacht Club in Tuscaloosa.
