The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Richard Miller of Brewton and Mr. and Mrs. William Herbert Stimpson of Mobile.
Ms. Stimpson is a graduate of UMS-Wright Preparatory School and the University of Alabama. She is employed by Hoar Construction as a marketing assistant.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Maury Drane Smith, formerly of Montgomery, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mertz Vandervoort of Guntersville.
Mr. Vandervoort is a graduate of The Donoho School and the University of Alabama and is a student at the University of Alabama, School of Dentistry.
The wedding will be June 23, 2012, at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church in Mobile.
