Re “Coffee break” (May 14):

The Star highlighted (in the color red) comments regarding “foreign” laws being invoked against Americans. It was very sarcastic-sounding. I must beg to differ with you.

If you will pay attention to what U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has done by signing on with the U.N. argument against our constitutional right to carry arms, our Second Amendment rights are under fire from the United Nations. If the United Nations has its way, we would lose that right. Please explain, in your opinion, why that would not be a foreign law?

I say kudos to the Kansas Legislature; the Alabama Legislature needs to do the same. We don’t need the United Nations dictating to us in the United States. I say move them out of the United States. Stop the folks who take our money and then stab us in the back. Who else feels this way? Probably more people than you realize.
