A second suspect in the homicide of an Oxford man on Saturday turned himself in Tuesday, police said.

Oxford police have arrested and charged Terry Shandell Thomas, 25, of Sylacauga, with murder and attempted murder. Thomas is believed to have shot and killed Barry Wright, 50, at Wright’s home in Oxford and shooting another unidentified victim.

Police Sunday arrested Cameron Lavorus White, 29, of Talladega in connection with the homicide. Oxford police Lt. L.G. Owens said there is also a warrant for a third suspect, Raphael Lamar Simmons of Talladega, for murder and attempted murder. Owens said Simmons should be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information should contact Oxford Police at 256-831-3121 or 256-835-6122.

Owens said he could not comment on the details of the case because it is an open homicide investigation.

Thomas was being held Wednesday at the Oxford city jail with no bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 23. White was transferred Wednesday to the Calhoun County jail with a bond of $1 million.
