We remember when Anniston was truly the Model City. We remember when the Anniston School System was the best in Calhoun County with full support of our city leadership. We remember when our government leaders were recognized in the media not for what they did wrong, but for what they did right. We remember being proud of this city, not embarrassed by our city government. Yes, it is time for a change — a positive one.
Many fine candidates are running for the position of mayor and councilmen/councilwomen. Yet, we need someone who has financial expertise, who owes no favors to any one group of people, but who is concerned for the good of all. Brant Locklier is the man for the job.
He is the only candidate who can fill these qualifications. He has led the turnaround of three different companies with $27 million saved. He has national and international contacts. He has owned his own business. He was on the Board of Directors of Enterprise, Ala., Chamber of Commerce. He has served on a U.S. Senate Committee (China-U.S. relations).
