The prospective groom is the grandson of Sue Courtney, of Anniston and the late Lena M. and John T. Abernathy, formerly of Anniston.
Mr. Abernathy is a 2004 graduate of Wellborn High School in Anniston. He has served as a firefighter for the past six years in the U.S. Air Force.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Conway Springs High School. Miss Osner received her doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Kansas in May. She is currently employed at Dillon’s Pharmacy in Andover, Kan.
The wedding will be Aug. 25, 2012, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway Springs, Kan.
They will honeymoon in the Bahamas and will reside in Wichita, Kan.
