Millie Harris has what it takes to be the Ward 4 representative on the Anniston City Council. She is a trained, experienced educator, a businesswoman who is co-owner of plumbing-specialties business and a proven community leader.

Millie has earned and received several awards, among them an award as the Department of Defense Education Activity Teacher of the Year. The University of Alabama recognized her as the Most Outstanding Student of the Year, Talented and Gifted.

Her community involvement is proven by her service on the City of Anniston Planning Commission; membership on the Board of Directors of the Knox Concert Series and chair of its Education Outreach Committee; service on the Board of Directors of the Spirit of Anniston; and Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society.

I do not hesitate to predict that Millie will make herself accessible to her constituents, will hold ward meetings and at all times know that she is working for the betterment of all of Anniston.

Please vote for this beautifully qualified citizen as I certainly plan to do.
