The school uniform is usual attire for a Sacred Heart student, but students were allowed to purchase ‘Childhood Cancer Awareness’ T-shirts to wear Fridays in September. Faculty, staff, students, parents, friends and the community supported the event, which sold more than 250 shirts. The students helped raise about $2,000 for childhood cancer awareness and research. It is their goal to make the gold ribbon for childhood cancer as recognizable as the pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness.
