We assume Calhoun County voters care about who serves on the county’s Board of Education, as well as who is elected Nov. 6 as circuit clerk and circuit judge.

We assume.

Problem is, you couldn’t tell by the meek turnout for Tuesday night’s forum in Alexandria. Most candidates for those races attended, but other than the candidates, their families and close supporters, only three people — three people — showed up.

Hey, we’re as weary of 2012’s never-ending election cycle as anyone else. There’s only so much politicking anyone can stand.

C’mon, Calhoun County voters. The polls open one more time. See y’all there.
