Mike has served on the board for 24 years and has our children and grandchildren’s education up front of all agendas faced by the board. I have known and been friends with Mike and his family for 38 years. I can tell you that he is experienced in the position he has served, and he has just retired as the director of the Opportunity Center after 32 years of service.
Mike is a great person to have on the board with his experience and knowledge of the education needs of this county. He has experience in administration and finance to reach the goals required by the state Board of Education. Mike is retired now and will have even more time to see that our schools meet and exceed all requirements under the No Child Left Behind program.
Mike is a man with the right experience who we need in our education system to make Calhoun County Schools the best in the state. I ask you to re-elect Mike Almaroad to the Calhoun County Board of Education on Tuesday to assure our schools move forward in the next four years.
