The Zeta Mu Sigma chapter, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to Amari Newton and Rodney Fomby Jr., both graduates of the class of 2012 at Anniston High School.

Newton is the daughter of Diane Newton of Anniston and attends Auburn University and plans to major in pharmacy.

Fomby is the son of Rodney Fomby Sr., of Anniston and the late Nila D. Fomby, and attends Alabama State University and plans to major in theatre arts.
