A fatal accident involving a car and a motorcycle occurred at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. 431 north of Anniston, according to a report from the Alabama State Trooper’s Post in Jacksonville.

David Anthony Chandler, 35, of Alexandria, was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on U.S. 431, the report said. The release said the driver of the other vehicle, a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier, involved was a 15-year-old from Weaver.

Assistant Coroner Shane Adrian said Chandler was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:50 p.m. The report states the other driver was not injured in the crash.

Troopers said they did not know the speed at which both vehicles were driving. They also could not speculate if the 15-year-old was driving with anyone in the car.

The accident is being investigated by Alabama State Troopers.
