Douglas Wicklund and Bert and Darleen Perkins of Alexandria announce the engagement of their daughter, Molly Janine Wicklund, to Sgt. Thomas Fleming Hess, son of retired Maj. Ronald and retired Lt. Col. Cheryle Hess of Great Falls, Va.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Loretta Davidson of Alexandria and the late Chief Master Sgt. Noel Davidson and Norman and Keitha Wicklund of Ohatchee and the late Barbara Wicklund.

Miss Wicklund is a graduate of Alexandria High School and the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She is employed by Gore Real Estate Group in Gatesville, Texas.

The prospective groom is the grandson of retired PHM3 Lily Hess of Sebawing, Mich., and the late retired Sgt. Howard Hess and the late EMP1 Bernie and Nellie Fleming, formerly of Merrill, Mich.

Mr. Hess is a graduate of Langley High School. He is employed by U.S. Army in Fort Hood, Texas.

The wedding will be Feb. 23, 2013, at the historic Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, S.C.
