The World Yoshukai Karate of Jacksonville, located at Club Fitness, recently traveled to Camp Mac in the Cheaha Mountains for a waterfall workout. More than 70 participants from local Yoshukai schools were in attendance. World Yoshukai is recognized for extensive physical training, self-defense, self-control and respect for oneself and others. The students are noted for their perseverance, loyalty, dedication, respectful manners and strong hearts. The purpose of the waterfall-type workouts in the winter is to test the spirit under extreme conditions. You are training your mind to ignore the coldness of the water (40 degrees) and to focus on the task at hand.
