Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks said the business is on the 3100 block of Red Morris Parkway, just off Golden Springs Road. Employees discovered the copper missing from a warehouse the company owns on the 500 block of South Wilmer Avenue, Sparks said. According to a police report, the copper was stolen sometime between September 2012 and Wednesday.
An Internet search found Braxton Harris Company, a plumbing equipment manufacturer, and Rex Heat Treat, a metalworking company, located on Red Morris Parkway.
Representatives from both businesses said they were not aware of any thefts or a warehouse on South Wilmer Avenue.
Lt. Fred Forsythe said police found no evidence of a break-in at the warehouse.
Police are still investigating the incident, Sparks said.
