Sgt. Chris Sparks said the mother of the girl reported the incident to police. The incident occurred Thursday between 11 p.m. and midnight at a home on the 800 block of West 54th Street, according to a police report.
Sparks said the incident is still under investigation. He would not release the suspect’s age or other details, except to say that the suspect’s age in relation to the victim has bearing on the case.
