I noticed that The Star has a strange way of equivocating the issues. There was a comment on The Star’s website that stated that more than 400,000 lose their lives to smoking — a reader had to write in about the stopping of smoking. The Star hasn’t run many editorials against smoking, yet it hammers the issue of gun rights that yields around 10,000 homicides a year. Seems that it should be more important to address the much greater danger of smoking than the taking away of legally owned guns.
