I will have a short column this week. However, I must make mention of the great success of the Relay for Life project. As most of you know, the culminating event was held last Friday evening at the City of Heflin football field. It was inspirational, entertaining and full of delicious food. That did not “just happen”. It was the results of the hard work and planning of many individuals. Teams from all over Cleburne County pitched in and made the effort a success. It is projected that we made close to $60,000. I commend these very important leaders for all they did to make this happen.
I hope that the party that these friends will have this week will also be a success. They will be celebrating a very happy birthday!
