Participants of the rain garden workshop break-out session took site measurements and created garden layouts to present to the class. Attendees included, counter-clockwise from top left, Robin Bauer, Dani Carroll, Jennifer Yates, Bill Totherow, Willie Datcher and Nelson Wynn.

A Rain Garden certification workshop was held May 1 at Cane Creek Community Center. The event was a partnership between the Choccolocco Creek Watershed Alliance and Auburn University’s Dr. Eve Brantley as well as the Cooperative Extension Service. The 16 participants were given in-class teaching and outside field exercises to arm them with the knowledge of how to design a rain garden.
