A man was sitting in his kitchen playing cards Friday night when a bullet went through the wall of his Anniston home, police said today.

Anniston Capt. Allen George said the 23-year-old victim was in the kitchen with three friends when he heard multiple shots fired at his home on the 100 block of Hutchinson Drive.

No one was injured during the shooting, George said.

A police report showed damage to an exterior wall, two interior walls, a window and a lamp shade. The damage was estimated at $280, according to the report.

Police discovered seven .40-caliber and two .380-caliber shell casings in front of the home, George said.

The victim also reported his truck was broken into, but nothing was taken. Several bullet holes were also found in the truck, George said.

George said today the incident was under investigation.

A suspect could could face charges of discharging a firearm into a building and breaking and entering a vehicle, both felonies, according to the police report.
