A Memorial Day service will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Veteran’s Park in Piedmont. The event is sponsored by the Piedmont DAV Chapter No. 21.

Alabama School for the Blind will kick of Camp Asbury June 2-14 which is designed for visually impaired students ages 16-21. The Summer Enrichment Camp will be held June 16-22 and is designed for students ages 6-16. Tuition is free for both camps. Alabama School for the Deaf will hold its “Mission: Possible” Summer Enrichment Camp June 16-22 for students ages 6-16. The Helen Keller School of Alabama will hold its Summer Assessment Camp June 16-21 at no cost to campers. The camp is open to any school-age child who is sensory impaired multi-disabled.
