I came by invitation to speak about my novel, Pale Blue Light. The event was well attended, thanks to preparation by Kiser and staff and the renowned Anniston Star. Folks were welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable about my subject, the War Between the States.
My book, which has garnered very good reviews, is an historical adventure set during the war. It’s a spy thriller, though historically accurate. Pale Blue Light is another and much less known nickname for Confederate Gen. Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson.
The thoughtful hostesses even served appetizers true to the period; things like johnny cakes and sweet potato candy. The question/answer segment was a true delight. I have never encountered a more well informed audience.
From the moment I arrived at the library parking lot, I was enveloped in a cloud of Southern hospitality. I will never forget the visit.
Thank you, thank you, thank you all.
