A woman was uninjured after she was shot at multiple times outside an Anniston home Sunday night.

The 21-year-old victim told police she was sitting on the porch of a friend’s home on the 1900 block of Davis Avenue, according to Anniston police Capt. Allen George. Around 9:30 p.m. a dark-colored vehicle pulled up to the home, George said, and a man the victim was acquainted with got out of the car and yelled at her. George said the suspect cursed at the victim and threatened to kill her.

The suspect pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots at the woman, the captain said. The victim was not hit by the gunfire and the suspect fled before police arrived at the home.

George said officers recovered four shell casings in front of the home and the Anniston Crime Laboratory Unit was processing the scene this morning.

George said the incident was still under investigation today.

A suspect could be charged with felony first-degree attempted assault.
