Laurie Shea Snider and Benjamin Craig Miller were married March 16, 2013, at The First United Methodist Church of Anniston. The Rev. Peter Hawker and Dr. Thomas Smith, great-uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony. Music was provided by James P. Roberts, organist and Seth and Heather Snider, soloists.

Readers were Mary Maloney and Alyson Tucker. Blessing of the marriage was given by Ja’Ron Smith.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shawn Snider of Anniston.

Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Willard Craig Miller of Alpharetta, Ga.

Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Eugene M. Champion of Prattville; the late Bobbie Royal Champion, formerly of Montgomery and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Joe Snider of Anniston.

Grandparents of the groom are Ms. Kathleen Lokey Bishop of Columbus, Ga., and the late George Norman “Buddy” Bishop, formerly of Athens, Ga., and Mrs. Patricia Tuggle Miller and the late Mr. Willard Humphrey Miller of Big Stone Gap, Va.

Bridesmaids were Megan Low, Amy Miller, Mallory Miller, Holley O’Connell and Heather Snider. Junior Bridesmaids were Emily Rogers and Baylee Snider and flower girl was Kenleigh McArthur. Matron of Honor was Elizabeth Snider.

Groomsmen were Bryn Getto, Hayden Getto, Tad Low, Bobby May, Alex Miller, Carson Miller, Michael Miller and Seth Snider. Best men were Craig Miller and Hamilton Miller.

Members of the House Party were Mary Randolph Carpenter, Caryn Eggeraat, Miranda Gregory, Stacey Johnson, Ginger McArthur, Alicia Melvin, Jena Ogiba, Beth Rogers, Whitney Verett, Jennifer Winford, Cameron Bishop, Scott Boughton, Chris Guven, Jason Hays, Turner Kimbrough, Grant McGarry, Alex Moser, Michael Porter and Quentin Smith.

The reception was held at the Anniston Country Club.

After a trip to St. Marteen, the couple resides in Washington, D.C.

The bride wore an ivory silk shantung/taffeta mermaid gown by Legends by Romona Keveza featuring a sweetheart neckline and dramatic ruching on the back. She also wore a crystal-embellished belt by Vera Wang. The look was completed with a veil made by her mother and Manolo Blahnik Hangisi satin pumps in cobalt as her “something blue.” The bride carried a bouquet also made by her mother of brooches and earrings from family and friends dating back to Shea’s great-great grandmother.
