Troop 4009 participates in canoe training

Boy Scouts of America Venture Crew 4009 spent the weekend of July 5-7 at 7H Farm in Lincoln completing its canoe qualification training preparation for a 15 mile canoe trip planned later in the summer. The co-ed Crew practiced water rescue and canoe recovery on the small lake. Crew advisors supervised the training and BSA lifeguard Tyler Mitchell made sure the training was conducted in a safe manner.

Not pictured are Amy Mitchell, Brent Mitchell and Emma New. Venture Crew 4009 is hosted and sponsored by St. Mark UMC in Golden Springs.
