Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa linebacker Keith Holcombe has switched his commitment from Mississippi State to Alabama. Holcome committed to MSU earlier in July.

Holcombe’s father, Danny Holcombe, lettered in 1980, ’81 and ’82 as a guard for Alabama under Bear Bryant.

"Since I've grown up here in Tuscaloosa and my dad played at Alabama for Coach Bryant, my ultimate goal has always been to play for the Crimson Tide," Holcombe told AL.com. "When that opportunity presented itself, it was one I couldn't refuse. To put on the same uniform my dad did is something I can't even put into words."

Holcombe is rated as a four-star prospect by 247sports, three stars by Rivals.com and two stars by Scout.com.

Alabama now has 17 commitments for its Class of 2014.
