The Grace Tabernacle “back-to-school fun day” will be 8 a.m.-noon Saturday at Jacksonville Community Center. The Grace Tabernacle Praise team will sing. Same day swim passes will be given away when pool opens at 11 a.m. All school age children and parents are invited. Free school supplies will be given to the first 300 children. Free food, games, moon bounce, train ride and door prizes will be featured. The child must be present to win a prize and to receive school supplies. An AARP driver safety class will be held 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Jacksonville Community Center. Certificate of completion, good for three years, may qualify drivers age 55 or older for insurance discounts. Class will be classroom work and no tests. The cost is $14 or $12 with current AARP member number at the beginning of the class.
