Talley, a rising sophomore from Princeton, Ky., closed out Yueer Cindy Feng on the 35th hole of the final match with a par on the 154-yard par-3 17th hole.
Talley, 19, went back and forth with Feng on the first 18 holes of the final. She won the 18th hole with a birdie on the par-4, 438-yard 18th to enter the second half of the final with a 1-up lead.
Talley, who begins her sophomore year later this month, won the 20th and 22nd hole to extend her lead to 3 up before Feng rallied to win three straight holes to square the match.
Talley birdied the match’s 28th hole to take a 1-up lead, and never let up.
She extended the lead to 2 up at the 30th hole only to see Feng strike back with a win on the 31st hole. The next three holes were halved before Talley claimed victory on the 35th (17th hole) of the match.
She finished her freshman year at Alabama with a 73.00 scoring average that ranked second on the team while earning second-team All-America honors.
Talley will rejoin her Crimson Tide teammates when school starts at Alabama on Aug. 21.
